Spirit Plague node "Horrific Fascination" is not stacking its damage buff

The skill states that you gain 4% increased spell damage each time you apply the spirit plague, and that this buff can stack. On testing this, it seems to give the initial 4% spell damage, but then does not stack afterwards, meaning you only get 4% out of the node no matter what.
