No we both selectively interpreted the video in a way that supported our existing bias although I will say I actually absorbed all of the information without selectively forgetting parts of it.
You are correct that there is absolutely no functional reason why a female cannot wear the exact same plate armor as men, however it is mentioned in the video that if there were ever enough female knights and it was considered fashionable for women to have their plate armor have great big breasts (female equivalent of a cod piece I guess) or anatomical features similar to some of the Greek plate armor with abs that it is feasible such armor would have been created. As such fully protective fantasy Plate armor with a feminine shape isn’t completely ridiculous regardless or how unnecessary it is.
