So I thought I’d reinstall this game and check how far it has come since i last played, wich is ages ago! My SSD had 64gb free space so I thought I put it there, then the installer tells me I need 31gb MORE free space…? Did you poop a TON of content the last 1.5 year? Or is the installer playing mind games with me?

The installer currently requires significantly more storage than what is actually taken up by an install of the game. One workaround here is to install the game through Steam instead.
This support article shows how to do so (without buying the game again).
