Thank you for the nice clear video that went through everything nice & slowly (much easier to get screenshot from that ).
That explains why you’re having issues with the second phase, you’re squishy as **** & your gear is all over the place. You have affixes that aren’t relevant to your build (eg, throwing damage on your rings, damage while channelling on your amulet), low level affixes (t1 hp regen & vitality on your helm), but with 30-60 mins of gambling & crafting you can get it fixed.
IMO, you should decide whether you’re going to focus on your own damage (Serpent Strike) or your minions damage, as I personally don’t like going hybrid.
I’ll ignore the idols for the moment, but again, you’ll probably want to decide how you want to split your focus between your own DPS (poison damage for Serpent Strike), your pets DPS (probably phys damage, minion attack speed, etc) & defence (hp, dodge, resists, etc).
And don’t forget, if there are some nice nodes in Shaman/Druid, you can take them, especially if they’re low level.
Before I get into what I think you should change your gear to, lets talk about how. Gambling is your friend. Go to the gambler & have a list of specific bases that you want then look through each tab (weapon/armour/accessories) and buy each one of those bases, make sure you have 2-3 of each for each slot so that if/when you craft & it fractures before you get it to a decent tier you’ve got a backup item to craft with. Then when you’ve gone through each tab hit the refresh button & look for more bases.
When you find a good base with a decent implicit, if it has some good affixes, great, if not & it doesn’t have any instability, use a rune of cleansing to get rid of the affixes then craft on it.
Since you’re lvl 52, all you “need” to get your resists up to is the mid-50s, that’ll mean they’re not negative when you take the area-level penetration into account, but if you can cap them, then that’s better (obviously).
I’ll use only 3 affixes & tier 3 affixes since they are easy to craft up to from a white item.
You’ll need 5x t5 set phys/void & necrotic/poison prefixes and a similar number of elemental resist suffixes to get your resists capped, then you can put your dps/minion prefixes on the other items. Try & avoid “useless” affixes, like phys damage (most of your damage from Serpent Strike is going to be coming from the poison), as they just increase the likelihood that the item will fracture.
Above is a link to a suggested set of gear, open it & play around with the affixes so you can tweak it to your preference, you can move the set prefixes from one of your rings to the relic to get some more minion prefixes in if you want.
Your minions will benefit from your Strength (hp & increased damage) so try & focus on that instead of Attunement, it’ll also buff your Serpent Strike damage.
Passives:
I’d probably remove the points from the following passives
- Wisdom of the Wild
- Natural Attunement
And possibly put some into Gift of the Wilderness (for more hp) or Ancient Call (for more minion HP).
Definitely take Boar Heart & Porcine Constitution & max them, that’ll give you 5s of 30% damage reduction when you get hit by melee.
