Really excited for it, since it will make socialising way easier.

Sometimes simply log out to character selection and log in again can help. Not everytime but sometimes^^
Been down every time I’ve logged in today.
I know chat’s unreliable but have never seen it simply not be available this long.
I believe there may currently be an issue with the chat server itself.
It’s after midnight here, but I’ll look into this tomorrow.
Yeah chat is missing for me…my 2nd day on the game and now it’s gone

Chat should be available again. Changing zone might help, but you’ll probably need to restart the game client. Apologies for the inconvenience. In Patch 0.8 we’ll be completely replacing our in-game chat system - both the code and infrastructure will be brand new.
