What we want in a loot filter

What would you like in a loot filter? Throwing out some options that I would like:

Filter 1 - Look for Affixes/Suffixes
Affix 1 - Set Glancing Blow - Any Tier

Filter 2 - Look for Affixes/Suffixes
Affix 1 - Cast Speed - Min Tier 2
Suffix 1 - Chance to Slow on Hit - Any Tier
(both would be required)

Filter 3 - Look for Affixes/Suffixes
Affix 1 - Cast Speed - Any Tier
Affix 2 - Spell Damage - Any Tier
Suffix 1 - Chance to Slow - Any Tier
Suffix 2 - Chance to Chill - Any Tier
Additional Rules - At least 3 of the 4 must be true
Additional Rules - Maximum Rune of Removal - 1
(so an item with 3 wanted stats and 1 unwanted stat will still show)

Filter 4 - Look for Affixes/Suffixes
Affix 1 - Cast Speed - Any Tier
Affix 2 - Spell Damage - Any Tier
Affix 2 - Fire Damage - Any Tier
Additional Rule - Only for certain Base Items

  • Divine Scepter - Implicit with at least 50 adaptive spell damage, or
  • Prophecy Wand - same
(so only Divine Scepters or Prophecy Wands with both Cast Spell and Spell/Fire Damage)

Filter 5 - Look for Base Items
Sovnya - Implicit with at least +6% crit
Terror Maul - At least 70% stun

Filter 6 - Look for Base Items
The best two-handed melee weapons at my current level
Additional Rule - Only with certain Affixes/Suffixes

  • Affix 1 - Added Physical Damage, or
  • Affix 1 - Added Fire Damage

Filter 7 - Look for Unique Items
Sunforged Greathelm - At least 35% Poison Taken as and 35% Necrotic Taken As
Orian’s Eye - Any modifiers

Filter 8 - Exclude everything else
other possible options instead of excluding everything else (I’m still a little hazy on this part):

  • Exclude unique items that don’t meet my criteria
  • Exclude equipment that doesn’t meet my criteria
  • Exclude idols that don’t meet my criteria

Possible other additional rules:

  • Average instability per tier - 3 (so 2 affixes both tier 5 would be compared against total instability of 30). This could be used if we want to have better crafting chances. I like to check instability of my item.

Personally I’d like to be able to highlight/minimise certain affixes (either shards or on gear) and certain bases like you can in PoE, and like PoE, have it based on character level (I believe, I’ve never actually looked into the filter to see how it works). So if any item drops with a set glancing blow/hp/dodge/etc affix then it gets highlighted (larger text, possibly different colour), even if it’s a “bad” base.

Well, this is what we know of the loot filter thus far;

If it does turn out to be anything like Grim Dawn's loot filter it's going to be pretty robust and easy to use. It was also added fairly recently, like within the past 6 months or so (or maybe longer as time flies).

with way items are dropped can simply implement same filter used in Grim Dawn and would be amazing

No, we need a lot more than just GD’s filter, we need to be able to highlight specific affixes & bases.
