Yes, there will be multiplayer testing at some point in the beta stage of development.
You’re correct that currently the alpha is singleplayer.
I have to re-establish the character in the beta test? Will the characters created by the alpha test disappear?
It hasn’t been decided for sure, but you should operate under the assumption that characters won’t carry over between major updates. Even if we don’t end compatibility on purpose, changes to skills and passives may warrant a new character anyway.
