Yip… this kind of thing happens often all over the place… Shatter Strike ground cold aoe node does this too. Lots of ground Aoe effects show up like this. Even happens in Arena in the central lower area against the slopes to each 4 sides and the effect goes up magically like its covering an invisible wall.
