Mourningfrost added damage?

Does the added cold damage effect throwing attacks Like Hammer Throw.
By the wording I would assume it does at it says attacks and spells (as it doesnt specify melee attacks)
Just want to be sure tho before wasting time>

Yes it works. I just double checked to make sure.

Thanks didnt want to make the dexterity/throw damage gear if it wasnt going to work.
