I think it’s a bit clonky that you need to play an animation to activate howl. Rather make it instant so it doesn’t interrupt your attacks - especially since you have to use it often.

Yeah, or give your wolves the cast Animation instead of yourself 
I don’t bother casting it most of the time because of the Animation. Maybe that has some balancing reasons that would make builds with 3-4 different companions OP? Since they all have cooldowns I can’t imagine that would have any real Impact on the powerlevel.
