I’m like 95% sure that it is the crit sound, because I didn’t start hearing it until I actually put on a melee weapon with melee crit chance. But it is extremely loud compared to the rest of the game. I have to lower the game volume to the point where I can barely hear it, but the crit sound is still very audible. I’m not sure if this is just the way it is, I haven’t seen anyone else complain about it so I assume it’s not.
