Same bug for me.
Chat isn’t working at all: constant red messages “disconnected from chat”.
I purchased this game two days ago and played (Chat bug) free for the entire play through. However yesterday evening my chat was removed.
Is it possible to have your chat banned or removed? Or am I simply bugged and no longer able to see chat. Have re-installed and restarted the game at this stage.
You weren’t banned, the chat server is just a bit flakey, more so with the most recent patch (0.7.8)than the previous one (0.7.7). Leaving & re-entering the game server fixes it.
I’ve been randomly loosing access to the chat server as well. 
I thought 0.7.7 fixed it.
